Died: 7 Victoria Road, Horwich 26 April 1930

Foreman engineer, steam engine maker.

Came from Crewe to take up a position as Foreman Erector at the Horwich Locomotive Works and retired in June 1914 after 29 years service with the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway Company.

Councillor 1903-11.

Freemason - member of the Horwich Lodge.

At his funeral in the Victoria Wesleyan Church there was a floral tribute from Sir Henry Fowler KBE, Chief Mechanical Engineer of the LMS Railway Company.
