Vicar of Turton 1904-48.

From 1914 represented Edgworth Ward for 4 years then Chapeltown Ward for 30 years until retiring in April 1948.

As Chairman of Turton UDC he opened Turton Tower when it was handed over to the people of Turton.

Chairman of the County Education Sub-committee, Area 20, for 15 years.
