Bleacher - works manager at Wallsuches Bleach Works, Horwich. Director of the Bleachers Combine of which the Wallsuches works was a branch.
His father, Christopher Howarth, had been a partner in the bleachworks (established in about 1777 by Thomas Ridgway) and his son in turn became a principal in the concern.
