Father of Janet Halliwell, Mayor 2000 -2001.

At his inauguration he said "I'm very proud to be taking over, especially after my daughter did the job four years ago. I hope I can do as good a job as my predecessors. I'm expecting it to be a wonderful year to be in office as we are also celebrating the centenary of our Town Hall."
