Chairman of Blackrod Urban District Council: 1916-19

Died: 21 February 1940

Draughtsman Horwich Loco Works.

Elected 1908. He served until 1935 when he resigned due to ill health. He served on all committees.

Magistrate. On his death the presiding magistrate, Alderman Taylor said, "Mr Berry was an exceptionally useful member of the bench." Mr A Lawson, on behalf of the legal profession said, "he administered justice with kindness and mercy."

He lived at 119 New Street, Blackrod.
