Peter Aspinall

Chairman of Westhoughton Urban District Council: 1969-70 (Independent)

Born: Wigan, Lancashire c. 1925

Served in the Dorset Regiment during the Second World War in France 1944-45.

Trained as a teacher on demobilisation and taught in Warrington and at Golborne from 1950.

Deputy Head of Golborne Boys Secondary Modern School from 1956.

Member of Penketh Parish Council 1957-1960.

Moved to Westhoughton in 1960.

Represented South Ward from 1967.
