In his installation speech he said "during the coming year we have a long list of projects before Mand (Local Government Reorganization - Mand report) gets his hands on the village but there are many more things to be done beside and unless the people of Little Lever take pride in their town and help us, the Council will fail. Instead of political differences let us all get together and work in friendship to put Little Lever on the map."
